United Church Women

All women of the church are members of the United Church Women. We meet regularly on the 3rd Thursday of each month, 1:30 pm in the Bissell room.

Programs include speakers, luncheons and the planning of events such as the annual Shamrock Supper and Christmas Bazaar/Bake Sale.
Funds raised by the Elora UCW are donated to our Sunday School, our music program, children who want to go to Church Camp, coffee/tea/juice and other kitchen supplies, and capital projects in our church. We make donations to Camp Ganadaowah, Five Oaks Christian Training Centre, St. Paul’s College and the Mission and Service Fund. We also made donations to community needs such as the food bank, Rural Women’s Shelter Program and NeighbourLink, and internationally through the M&S Fund and World Vision. The Elora UCW also raises money by collecting Zehrs and L&M grocery tapes. We would appreciate your help in collecting these tapes. There is a drop-off jar at the Welcome Centre for these tapes.

Our group isn’t all about fund raising. We gather together for fun, fellowship and education once a month as well as supporting each other in our journey throughout the year. Women, young and old of the congregation are invited to join us the third Thursday of each month for our get togethers.
